Swinging Queen

I’m a lot stronger than I look. I know I may not look athletic from the outside, but don’t be fooled. I hear it all the time from my family: I’m the strongest one. Honestly, they're not wrong. I am surprisingly strong. I lift things for Mom at the house all the time, cases of soda, or milk, or water.
One of the reasons I’m so strong is because I love to swing. I can spend hours outside on my swing and the higher the better! Doesn’t matter where I am, the park, the cabin, the group home playset, if there’s a swing, I will find it.
Big brown wooden swing? I’m on it.
The skinny blue one? Yep.
The little kid one with the straps? If I fit, I’m in.
I can swing for hours. By myself or with my family and friends. I don’t even need anyone to push me; I’ve got it down. My legs do all the work. Push, pull, over and over! My arms and legs get a real workout!
Sometimes Michael or Dawnie or my nieces swing next to me–and on special occasions even Dad! My favorite place to swing is at the cabin.
There’s something about the wind on my face, the rhythm, the fresh air, it makes me feel calm. Relaxed. Rain or shine, it's my favorite activity!
