Wagon Rides!

It’s getting colder. That means I get to wear my puffy pink jacket (my favorite one) and my boots! (I wear those all the time anyway though) Sometimes there’s even a big leaf pile waiting for me at Mom and Dads too, and I go right in! But my favorite part about this time of year is the wagon rides. When we go up to the cabin, Mom and Dad bundle me in blankets and pull me along the dirt road. Sometimes the nieces and my brother or sister are there too. Everyone walks together, and I get to be part of it! No work, just rolling along and enjoying the fresh air.

At first, it’s perfect. The breeze, the sound of everyone talking. But after a while, I start to get bored. The road gets too bumpy. So, I play my smartest move and I make the toilet sign! I don’t really have to go of course, but sometimes they will turn around and head back early. It works about half the time, so I figure it’s worth a shot.

Even when it doesn’t, I don’t mind. I just sink deeper into my blankets and watch the leaves fall, happy to be along for the ride.
